Sources, Citation Policy and Further Reading on AI Deployment Companies
DeployCos.com cites a source for every figure, date and quotation. This page explains how sources are ranked, lists the primary and secondary sources used across the site, and recommends further reading. Corrections are welcome; see About.
Citation policy
Announced versus reported. A figure is labeled announced when it appears in a statement by the company concerned (press release, SEC filing, official blog). It is labeled reported when it comes from a news organization citing sources, and the reporting outlet is named. Reported figures that a second reputable outlet could not confirm are marked as such. Example: the OpenAI Deployment Company's "more than $4 billion" is announced; its $14 billion valuation is reported (Axios); its 17.5% minimum return to backers is reported (Financial Times) and was not confirmed by Reuters.
Primary sources preferred. Company announcements, SEC filings and official sites outrank press coverage; established news organizations outrank trade blogs; vendor publications are cited only for the vendor's own claims and labeled as vendor publications.
Excluded. Anonymous aggregator pages, AI-generated summaries without attribution, satire, and sources with an explicit political framing unrelated to the subject are not cited. Several figures that circulate in commentary about DeployCos could not be traced to any primary or reputable source and are omitted.
Dates. US format MM-DD-YYYY. Where announcement and launch differ, both are given.
